To post to our "Wall" send us a “Add a Friend” – if we know you we will "Friend" you - if not we will ask you to send us a message about your time at the Gas Company (this limits spam and abuse). Step-by-Step Facebook Instructions

Here are the step-by-step instructions on how to get on our Facebook page and post comments and pictures. Please read the information below before clicking on the "Join Us at Facebook" button. If you have problems, email us at irv@classicalgas.info and we will attempt to remedy the problem.

1. Click on the “Join Us at Facebook” button.
2. If you are not a Facebook member click on one of the green colored “Sign Up” buttons. This will prompt you to sign up for Facebook and become one of its members.
   1. Please read Facebook’s “ Help Center ” which is accessed by clicking on the down arrow next to the “home” tab near the top right of the page for setting up your own account and privacy settings.
   2. Once on Facebook, it may be necessary to navigate to the Classical Gas Facebook page. Find us by typing “socalgas retirees” into the search box in the dark blue band at the top of the Facebook page. This should bring up several different pages with the name of “Classical Gas”. Ours has the little gas lamp lighter as its icon with a teal background – it’s the same as on the web page. Click on it.

4. To post comments or add pictures you must be added as a “Friend”, you can do this by following the steps below:
   1. You must be on the “Classical Gas” Facebook page.
   2. Click on the “Add a friend” button near the top right. Two things happen when you click on it. One sends a request to us. The other drops down a new little window. Disregard this and just click somewhere else next to the same button. The button should now say “Friend Request Sent”.
   3. If we already have your name in our database, we will confirm you as our “Friend”. Once this happens, you can be seen on our Facebook page as a “Friend” and on your page you should see a red number next to the search bar indicating you have a “Notification”. This will tell you Classical Gas has confirmed you as a Friend.
   4. If you are not in our database, we will send you a message asking you to tell us a little about your time with the Gas Company. Once we have received your reply, we will confirm you as a “Friend”.
   5. Now you can “Post” comments or pictures. Posts are in the middle of the page under “What’s on your mind?” While we are looking for your comments on most subjects, know that extreme political and religious bashing will not be allowed.
